WORLD’S LARGEST PROGRAMMING COMPETITION WON BY NEW JERSEY COLLEGE STUDENT — At his home In Hoboken, New Jersey, Ben Alexander Mirtchouk, a student at Stevens Institute of Technology, shows programming code on a computer on Friday, May 21, 2021, after having won the ninth annual TCS CodeVita, which set a Guinness World Record for the largest computer programming competition. Mirtchouk defeated 136,053 other students from 34 countries to become the first American winner. The contest invited college students from around the world to pit their programming skills against each other to promote programming as a sport and spot promising programming talent.
